1980

MATSUI WALTERSCHEID LTD is established as a manufacturer specializing in agricultural PTO drive shafts. It is started as a Japanese-German joint venture formed between Matsui Universal Joint Corp. and Walterscheid GmbH of Germany.

PTO drive shafts with wide angle CV joints are first introduced and sold in the Japanese market. Lubrication and muddy water penetration prevebtion characteristics are added to the wide angle CV improving functionality and service life and adapting it to paddy field service.

1981

Coating developed through in-house research and development are applied to the PTO drive shaft slide profile, thus greatly reducing thrust resistance. The application of this coating is now standardized on PTO drives shafts with wide angle CV joints.

1982

Radial pin clutches, overrunning clutches, and shear bolt clutches are manufactured and marketed as resoective product series.

1985

Automatic quick disconnect couplers （AS and QS） are developed and intoroduced into the market.

1987

The popularization of the wide angle CV joint leads to the addition of a specialized production line.
4-point hitch couplers are developed, the technology for machining them is established and they are added to the product line, in accordance with the standardization of 4-point couplers and PTO drive shafts by the Japan Agricultural Machinery Association.

1994

Upon obtaining of patent on QS(Quick Set) for DriveShaft, it was possible to use for muddy water.Patent was licensed for easy detachable D. Shaft ofM-W method.Started for manufacturing of new typetube that is lighter & stronger than lemon type tube andis reducing thrust-resistance.
